First of all, I thank all charter members for entrusting me with the honour and previlege of serving as Charter President of First Rotary E-Club of District 3292, Nepal of RI District 3292 Nepal & Bhutam. Our first year in Rotary Movement was satisfactory as we spent most of our time enhancing Rotary Knowledge, promoting fellowship among charter members and understanding the functioning of Rotary E-Club.
During the first year, our E-Club successfully conducted 4 Club Assemblies, invited 4 GUest Speakers to the physical club meetings, 1 new member was inducted and successfully organized DG official visit. Total 11 members of Rotary E-Club member participated on 6th District Conference of RI 3292 where our club awarded with consolidated prize for the Banner Display.
Our E-Club actively played role as partners on Clean Up Nepal Campaign 2013, South Asia Film Festival 2013 and screening of a documentary film sjow “BLINDSIGHT” to the Blind/Visually Impaired people of Nepal. We were involved in filed Inspection during National Immunization Days and Celebrated “World Polio Day”. We also conducted as international Joint Program with Rotary Club of Calcutta Renaissance RI District 3291, Calcutta by organizing a joint heath camp at Calcutta. On the New Year Eve 2014 Fellowship Dinner Program to Welcome and interact with DG Rtn. Tulsi Maharjan and Rotarians, Guest from District 7510, New Jersy, USA.
One of most memorable event of the year was the celebration of our Club’s Charter Day Celebration on 31st May 2014 in unidue way by organizing a Hawaiian Theme BBQ Party in the presence of Rotary District Officials DG Rtn Dilendra Raj hrestha accompanied by first lady, IPDG Rtn Yougendra Man Pradhan, DGE Rtn Rabindra Riya, DGN Rtn Jaya Shah & 2 PDGs Rtn. Ratna Man Shakya, Rtn Tirtha Man Shakya, DS Rtn Manohar Das Mool, GSR Rtn Siba Bhakta Rajbhandary & Sponsor Club President Rtn Jeeban, AG Rtn Vishnu B. Karkee. THis event was appreciated by all visiting Rotarians, invitees and enjoyed by all charter members and spouses as it was awesome, a unique and a memorable gathering with full of fun and fellowship activities.
Our E-Club is sucessful in maintaining good Public/ media relations as most of all the activities of our E-Club were covered by Daily Newspapers and magazines. Moverover, club|s expences were spent within budget and a healthy situation is handed over to the next board. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the Board members, Rotarians, family and friends for the support and help rendered. On behalf of E-Club members, I would also like to thank GSR Rtn Siba Dai and AG Rtn Pramod Pradhan for their continuous guidance and cooperation.
It is now my pleasant duty to pass on the baton of leadership of this prestigious club to our incoming President Rtn Mahesh Bajracharya. I am confident that under his able leadership, this Rotary E-Club will scale the greater height of success by following the path and theme shared by RI President Gary C.K. Huang.
